Purchasing Agent

Reporting to the Sr. Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Agent’s primary roles are to request subcontractor/supplier pricing and maintain the database on floorplan and community costs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Solicit Trade Partner Bids and Unitized Pricing
  • Create and Maintain Vendor Cost Record Database
  • Compile Bid and Price Comparison Reporting as Needed
  • Perform Administrative and Clerical Tasks Related to Subcontractor/Supplier Contracting
  • Coordinate Exclusive Manufacturer/Supplier Rebate Program Reporting
  • Audit Trade Partner Insurance Requirements for Internal Compliance
  • Complete Special Projects as Needed

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential construction purchasing.
  • Field experience in residential construction highly recommended.
  • Knowledge of FAST business system a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related or transferable skill discipline.
