The closest of several Hill Country lakes in the North Austin area, Lake Travis is your go-to destination to cool off on a hot summer day. Parks all around the lakeshore include places to go for a swim, launch a boat or take a canoe or kayak trip. Lake Travis is known for great fishing, too, with abundant bass, catfish and many other game fish in its waters. The lake is also home to Lake Travis Zipline Adventures. Here, you have the opportunity to zoom over the water on the longest zipline in Texas.<\/p>\n

Thrilling visitors of all ages for many years, the\u00a0Hill Country Flyer and Bertram Flyer are two vintage trains that tour the Hill Country and historic sites all over the Austin area. It’s home to central Texas’ first planetarium and a seemingly endless lineup of ever-changing exhibits.<\/p>\n Stretching over nearly 7 miles in Cedar Park, the Brushy Creek Trail\u2019s<\/a> beautiful landscape is perfect for hiking, biking, jogging, dog-walking and sightseeing. The trail links six of the area’s best parks together. This\u00a0combines everything from picnicking and disc golf to kayaking and rock climbing. Also, the Brushy Creek Trail practically goes through the back yards of several of our communities! The stunning collection of sculptures and statues changes frequently throughout the year. The garden often features work by local Texas artists.
